Timeless squelch of the magic silver box! So much could be said about its sound and sequencer, all its tricks and quirks. It can be notoriously difficult to tame and produce, but Function Loops feel that they have done the job! It is an instrument with instant appeal and definitely one of those classics that never goes out of fashion.
With this pack, Function Loops believe they have succeeded in delivering a genuine must-have collection for all the acid aficionados. Following the legacy of well-known '90's acid pioneers, this package delivers a huge 2GB collection of pure acid sounds, perfectly produced and ready for action.
In the pack you'll find a selection of studio-ready drum grooves, each coming with three pairs of tightly-fitting bassline and top line loops in varying keys, all coming as their "saw" and "square" variants. Basses are done as lengthy 32-bar loops, each comprised of four different (bass/rise/tweak/fall) sections, masterfully tweaked and gorgeously produced to ensure maximum usability in all situations.
You can use them as they are, loop them and combine their saw/square variants to get the whole tracks finished like that, or you can cut them up and re-arrange to fit your tracks in an appropriate, logical manner.
Top lines also come in 32-bars, they are tweaked in a similar, but very logical way (long rise/tweak/fall). All the loops are dry, but beautifully overdriven, so make sure to put and automate your favourite stereo delays and reverbs to get that proper, big venue acid effect.
Function Loops have also provided corresponding MIDI files (in which note overlaps act as slides, and velocity values higher than 100 represent accents). As always, Function Loops have given common name-markings to all the loops, so it's really easy to browse through them and see which ones fit together perfectly.
