Saber is a mixed-signal, mixed-technology behavioural simulation tool. Saber can be used to perform steady-state, time, frequency, statistical and reliability analysis of designs from the architectural level down to the transistor level. The Saber simulator is able to simulate analogue, event-driven analogue (such as Z-domain), digital and mixed-technology devices in the same simulation. It can also link with digital HDL simulators to simulate designs which include models written in Verilog or VHDL. Alternatively, designs can be described in MAST, a full mixed-signal hardware description language for Saber which supports modelling both analogue behaviour and event-driven behaviour.
